Il Randagio Toscana IGT
Il Randagio shows energy and a bright and full-bodied personality. Spicy and lush with dark berry fruit and cherry aromas. This is "Guercino", a little Guercio. Same winemaking, though instead of Sangiovese a blend of Cabernet Franc and Merlot.

Vinification
Grapes are handpicked and undergo spontaneous fermentation in cement tanks. A small portion is foot-crushed and begins fermentation in an open bin. Approximately 20% of the grapes are whole cluster, with the remainder destemmed. Maceration lasts four months, with gentle pump-overs performed intermittently. Wine from each site is fermented and aged separately before the final blend.
