Gian Luca Colombo, winner of the Gambelli Award for Best Young Italian Winemaker, began his journey in Barolo without owning a single vineyard. Today, his estate encompasses 12.35 acres spread across 15 parcels in the villages of Roddi, Verduno, and La Morra, including some of the region’s finest old-vine plots.
Colombo’s vineyards are farmed biodynamically and organically, with a focus on sustainability, biodiversity, and minimal intervention. He carefully preserves the identity of each site, avoiding fining and filtration, and using minimal sulfur dioxide. Gian Luca crafts a portfolio of Barolo, Langhe Nebbiolo, Barbera, Pinot Noir, Dolcetto, and Pelaverga, vinifying each parcel separately to highlight the unique character of the terroir and vintage. Every bottle is personally overseen by Gian Luca, reflecting his meticulous care and hands-on approach—from vineyard to cellar.
