Champagne Yves Ruffin

Crafting exceptional Champagne with over 50 years of organic heritage

  • Hectares / Altitude: 7.5 acres
  • Grape varieties: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay
  • Established: 1971
  • Region: France, Champagne

Founded in 1971 by Yves Ruffin and his wife Odette Pitois, Champagne Yves Ruffin is rooted in generations of winegrowers. From the very beginning, Yves and Odette stood out by choosing organic viticulture, at a time when only a handful of producers embraced this approach, defending both shared values and the environment.

The estate began with 7.4 acres in Avenay-Val-d’Or and expanded in 1990 with an additional 1.2 acres in Tauxières-Mutry, covering plots in both the Vallée de la Marne and Montagne de Reims.

After Yves’s retirement, his son Thierry Ruffin took over the maison, modernizing operations while preserving the techniques that made the estate unique: organic viticulture, vinification in oak barrels, traditional pressing, and extended ageing. Today, Thierry’s wife Sylvie and their son Antonin continue the family tradition, producing Champagnes that reflect the terroir, heritage, and passion of the Ruffin family.
