Vinu Jancu

Vinu Jancu is a flagship reserve wine from the West Addison vineyard, grown on clay, limestone, and shale with red sandstone. The site, on the edge of Lake Champlain, features diverse wild flora beneath the vines, including goldenrod, purple aster, daisy fleabane, Queen Anne’s lace, and wild mint.

  • Vinification

    The fruit was hand-destemmed, sorted, and foot-crushed. Skin fermentation occurred in open vats for four weeks with native yeasts.

    Elévage was partially in anfora made in Montreal with local Champlain Sea clay and demijohns, and over a one year. One year in bottle. No sulfur or other additions.
