Top 100 Italian Wines – James Suckling – Rosset

We are proud to share that Rosset Terroir’s Valle d’Aosta Sopraquota 900 vintage 2023 has been awarded 97 points and ranked #19 in James Suckling’s prestigious “Top 100 Italian Wines” of 2024.

James Suckling describes this Petite Arvine as:

“So primary and pretty, with a real sense of the old vines and location of this Petite Arvine. Medium to full body with focused al-dente pears and apples. Mountain flowers, too. Creamy texture with just a hint of grape skins. Lovely now in its primary state, but better in two or three years.”

This recognition is not only a major milestone for Rosset Terroir, but also a celebration of the unique terroir of Valle d’Aosta. The Sopraquota 900 vineyard sits high in the Alps, and its extreme altitude and old vines yield a wine that is pure, elegant, and deeply connected to its mountain origin.
