Troon is a 100-acre farm in the Applegate Valley, named after Virginia Troon, who started the farm in 1972. 50 acres are planted with vines, the rest devoted to chickens, dogs, sheep, orchards, forest, mixed farming and a 2-acre compost plot. The property has undergone a biodynamic renaissance under current owners Brian and Denise White, receiving the Regenerative Organic Gold Certification -with environmental and social components–alongside their Demeter Biodynamic® and USDA Organic certifications. Inspired by the grapes and winemaking of Southern France, Brain and Denise partner with winemaker Nate Wall to build resilient vineyards, envisioning wines that are “made” in the vineyards, not in the cellar.
